Students' Social Responsibility Project in Mardin Midyat
Our students have selected a sister school in Mardin Midyat and are conducting projects periodically to address the school's needs.
1st INTERNATIONAL PHYSIOTHERAPY STUDENT CONGRESS
The 1st International Physiotherapy Student Congress is an event organized by our students in the 100th year of our Republic. Held on October 14-15, 2023, at the ATO Assembly Hall, the congress brought together national and international physiotherapy students, physiotherapists, professionals from related disciplines, and those interested in the field.
ORIGO PARTY 2023
We organized our traditional welcome party for the new 1st-year students who joined our faculty. During the event, filled with entertaining games and music, the classes got to know each other better and also there were competitive moments through various contests.
FTR-X
On December 24, 2022, the second edition of FTR-X took place, following the inaugural event earlier. FTR-X is a platform where professors from various fields of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, along with students with diverse experiences, are invited as guests to share their insights and answer questions. The second edition occurred on April 28, 2023. The program, organized by our students, received significant attention.
Bake Sale - 2023
Bake Sales, organized by our students, hosted a warm and enjoyable atmosphere with the participation of campus students and our academic staff. The second Bake Sale took place on December 8, 2023. The proceeds from the sale were donated to cover the expenses of establishing a library in Samandağ, Hatay.
Women's Day - 2023
On March 8, 2023, our students made purple bracelets for women and women-identified individuals with the "We Have the Power" project for International Women's Day.
Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Doctorate Program

The doctoral program in the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation within the Institute of Health Sciences started in the 1967-68 academic year. Graduates who complete this program can independently conduct an original research in various specialized fields of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, interpret scientific findings with a broad and deep perspective, and determine the necessary steps to reach new methods and applications. Graduates of this program can carry the high-level skills they have acquired in the field of education and research to national and international clinical and academic studies. Graduates of physiotherapy and rehabilitation program obtain a “PhD” degree. The aim of the present program is to train international academicians in education, research and applications in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, who have enormous expertise in the special fields of physiotherapy and rehabilitation according to the different health needs of the society, and who independently plan and conduct research, who present the new information obtained for the benefit of science and humanity.

Graduates of this program can carry the high-level skills they have acquired in the field of education and research to their national and international clinical and academic studies. Graduates are research assistants, physiotherapists, people working in other fields, and people who provide education to the society. Graduates of this program adopt lifelong learning as a principle. Graduates of physiotherapy rehabilitation doctoral program can develop competent and effective programs related to preventive purposes and improve public health by identifying needs of healthy individuals. In this PhD program, innovative and enterprising physiotherapists who can carry out clinical and academic studies independently, perform projects, who are capable in team-work and adaptable to scientific and technological developments, and who can contribute to education and health policies.
