The master of science program in the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation within the Institute of Health Sciences started in the 1967-68 academic year. Graduates who have completed this program can use their deepened and developed competencies at the level of expertise in clinical and academic studies at the various specialized areas of physiotherapy and rehabilitation and carry out advanced professional practice and research. Graduates of Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation obtain the degree of master of science. The aim of the present program is to educate experienced physiotherapists at the national and international area who able to follow the scientific and technological developments in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, who have gained advanced and deep knowledge, skills and attitudes in academic research and clinical practice, who can integrate their knowledge with academic and clinical studies, who can interpret the results, who can follow life-long learning, who can contribute to undergraduate programs of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. In this program, physiotherapists who can carry out clinical and academic studies at the level of expertise specialized in physiotherapy and rehabilitation are trained. Graduates of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation master of science program are able to support and guide the society, in terms of increasing the participation in physical activity, improving the function and quality of life in the light of physiotherapy and rehabilitation-specific measurements.
