Courses in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation started to be given in 1973 within the context of the Master of Science program, which started education and training in 1967-68 in the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at the Institute of Health Sciences. With developments and advancements, the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation graduate education program started to give education and training as a new program of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at the Institute of Health Sciences in 1996-97. Physiotherapists who could implement and advance clinical and academic studies in areas particular to cardiopulmonary rehabilitation at the specialty level were brought up in this program. Alums of the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation Master of Science program are skillful in building up and leading society, encouraging participation in physical activity, and increasing the quality of life with treating functions in light of measurements unique to cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. Graduates of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation graduate education, are taking Master of Science in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.
